Landowner Information
Landowners faced with the opportunity to lease their land need to consider a variety of issues relating to whether they want to lease, under what conditions, with whom, and what to do afterwards. At a minimum, we strongly recommend that landowners talk with an attorney before signing anything with a gas company (these are legal documents!), and that they talk with several gas companies to compare prices and conditions before making a decision. Many landowners add addendum to the leases offered by companies, since these addendums can offer important control and protections for landowners.
